In 1999, Rittenhouse Archives released its first “Twilight Zone” trading cards series, which sold enormously well. Plans were made for an “Outer Limits” series, and The Premiere Edition (there was no second) was released in 2001. This was a very limited series, and other than a release done by another company for the *later* “Outer Limits” series (1995-2002), there have been no other card releases done for the show.
There was one done in the 1960s (baseball card style) during the original run of the show featuring creatures/characters, which can be found on eBay occasionally in piecemeal.
This one-of-a-kind collection of “Outer Limits” cards and photos would be a must for any ardent fan of the original series (49 episodes, 1963-65), created by Leslie Stevens with Joseph Stefano as its principal Producer. Many of the same actors appeared on “Twilight Zone” as well. It shared a couple years of airtime with “Twilight Zone” and has often been compared to it, but in reality, the shows were completely different. The owner acquired these items from a variety of sources – eBay, other collectors, etc.

Autographed 8×10 Photos:
Signed in person at various conventions, or by mail. These are NOT copies, they are original signed glossy 8×10 photos. The signatures are not secretarial and can be compared with many other items, including trading cards, signed by many of them. Most of these actors did not sign hardly anything from “The Outer Limits” because fans have generally not collected much from it – at least, not 8×10 photos. Most of these people did not sign any trading cards for Rittenhouse, so getting them to sign 8×10’s was the only option.

All of the above come in the original 3 ring binder that was issued with the complete master sets of cards!
BONUS ITEMS:
2 (two) sealed boxes of trading Cards, sealed and serial numbered. Each box contains 3 autograph cards. Rittenhouse issued roughly 6,000 boxes of these cards. 25+ years later, only a handful of unopened ones remain. These boxes have been well-kept in sealed vacuum plastic with silica gel for many years and are in very good condition, given their age. The plastic is intact. The serial numbers on the boxes are #s 3980 and 5047.
Also, a Joseph Stefano typewritten showbiz-type letter, signed, with original envelope from 1993
A couple points of reference…in recent years, one complete master set of these Outer Limits cards + binder ONLY have been listed for $9,500 on eBay. It is not worth that amount. However, this collection has substantially more and different material with the signed 8×10 photos. The Shatner and Nimoy autograph cards can run about about $400-500.00 apiece on eBay and a few others (Adam West, Cliff Robertson, et al.) are not far behind. Check eBay to see the market rates at any given time. As of 2026, William Shatner is possibly the last person around who signed these cards. Once there are no more living signers, the value of the collection will naturally appreciate.
Asking Price: 11,500 USD (negotiable.)
